Our Privacy Policy applies only to Our Websites and interactions with physical Think Travel locations. While Think Travel makes every effort to put in place suitable precautions to safeguard the security and privacy of personal data, this policy does not address, nor are We responsible for, the privacy practices of third parties, including those of the third-party providers (hereafter “Service Providers”) of the flights, hotels, attractions, car rental, cruise, and insurance services offered on Our Websites (hereafter “Services”) or third parties to whom We have linked. Please note that the inclusion of a link to a third party, whether that of a Service Provider or otherwise, does not constitute an endorsement of the linked site or Service by Us in any way. Please note that Our Websites include links to Our social media pages, and Think Travel uses Gmail for Our email communications. In clicking these links or communicating with Think Travel through email, You consent to the relevant Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies of the relevant third party. We are not responsible for any information collection, use, disclosure, or security policies or practices of third parties (such as Facebook, Apple, or Google).
Information collection and usage
Think Travel collects Your data to operate effectively and provide You with exceptional service. The primary data We collect is information that identifies You as an individual or relates to an identifiable person (“Personal Data”). This includes, for example:

  • Nationality
  • Address
  • Phone Number(s)
  • Email Address(es)
  • Credit and/or debit card number(s) and related information
  • Passport Number
We only collect Personal Data which is provided by You directly, such as by creating a membership account with Us or by Booking a Service through us. Our sole purpose in collecting Personal Data is to help You in making any booking or reservation for a Service through online.thinktravel.ca or through a Think Travel agent (hereafter “Booking”) which fits Your needs and providing support throughout the process. The following is a non-extensive list of some ways in which We use Your Personal Data:
  • To suggest appropriate travel Services for Your needs
  • To process Bookings for Services on Your behalf (including providing Your details to a Service Provider and Your payment details to banks or other entities that process payment transactions and for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction)
  • To communicate itineraries and ticketing information to You
  • To answer inquiries
  • To aid in cancellation or special requests
  • To create a Membership account for You should You wish to do so
  • To send marketing communications
  • To send rewards notifications
Your Personal Data will only be retained for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Please note that if You submit any Personal Data relating to other people to Us, You represent that You have the authority to do so and the authority to Permit Us to use this Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. We also collect some data indirectly, such as by recording how You interact with Our services (including receiving error reports, usage data from software running on Your device, and technologies like cookies). The data We collect depends on the services and features You use. We use this data to operate Our business and improve Our Websites. We reserve the right to use information collected indirectly for any purpose (except as required otherwise under applicable law), as long as it does not qualify as Personal Data under applicable law. If You feel the security of Your information has been compromised (including if You believe Your Member account has been hacked), please immediately notify Us (see “Contacting Us” below).   Furthermore, We ask that You not disclose any sensitive Personal Data to Us (including Social Insurance numbers,information regarding racial or ethnic origin, medical information, or political opinions), and not send Us any payment information through email.  Please note that this website is not intended for use by children under the age of 18 and We do not knowingly collect or use personal information relating to children.
Your Rights
You are encouraged to review Your rights under the relevant information protection laws of Your country of residence. In general, You have the right to review, access, correct, suppress, and/or delete personal data relating to Yourself and object to the processing of such data at any time by addressing a written request (see “Contacting Us” below). This includes opting out of any marketing or rewards emails. However, please note that even if you opt-out of marketing or rewards emails, You may still receive important administrative messages from Us from which you cannot opt-out.   If You make a request, please be clear what Personal Data You are requesting to access, change, or delete and what actions You wish for Us to take. Please note that, for Your protection, We may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Data associated with the specific email address or mailing address you use when sending Us Your request, and that We may ask to verify Your identity prior to implementing Your request. If You submit such a request, We will try to comply with Your request as soon as reasonably practicable. However, please note that We may need to keep certain information to complete transactions that You began prior to making Your request and/or for recordkeeping purposes. Furthermore, please be aware that residual information may remain within Our databases and other records which will not be removed.
